Relationship breakdown

Where relationships end in separation and divorce we offer mediation services that help couples deal rationally and fairly with the most contentious issues, finances and access to children.

Where possible we meet with both parties prior to legal intervention seeking to build a framework for settlement based on compromise and consensus. This work aims to minimize bitterness, improve outcomes for children and avoid excessive legal costs.

If family members struggle with the new status quo we work both individually and collectively with their sense of loss, anger and sorrow towards the acceptance of a different but potentially positive future.

The mediation process involves:

  • Working with two qualified mediators
  • Working in a mutually agreed neutral location
  • Progression through the formal 7 stage mediation process
  • Drafting of an outline agreement
  • Signature of the agreement
  • Access to legal evaluation and clarification
